MIKE BURGIN - ANTARCTIC RESCUE

"Two Hours in the Life of an 82 Year Old Guide and Leader of Our Group"

Mike sent in these photos of a 1967 rescue he was involved in while working as a research assistant in Antarctica.
It required the evacuation of someone who had been seriously injured after a fall, and involved a six hour flight to McMurdo and a further ten to Christchurch in New Zealand.
Thankfully the person ultimately recovered well after a stay in hospital.
